Black and White #14 Fast Trains.

Susan Nolen's Fast Trains Photograph

I captured these two beauties whilst waiting for my train. It was late and I was actually early. Quite a time flux! Trouble is, you think to yourself, well I do anyway– Do I have time to grab a coffee? Then I mentally calculate the time to get off the platform, explain to the ticket man– I just want to get a coffee and I haven’t completed the return journey. If that goes well,  pop down to the lower level, hope the queue isn’t long, wait for the barista to make the coffee, trot back upstairs, and explain to a new ticket person, I hadn’t actually taken the train yet. Ask the other chap that was just here. My train was  late, so I fancied a coffee.

After all that nonsense, I could be late for the late train with a newly purchased ticket! Think best not!

About susan sheldon nolen

It’s rare to catch me without coffee, a form of camera, or my beloved wire fox terriers. I love the history, the art, and it’s a massive part of my life, as I either paint, write, or get interrupted by my dogs, reminding me of the real world. I hope you enjoy your time here. It’s such a privilege to have readers.

Yes, sometimes the coffee must wait (or in my case, the tea). But of course, those are the times we want it most!

  2. I’m so looking forward to taking trains again! Are the trains in this post part of Eurostar?

  3. y. prior says:

that is really fun how you worded all that – and I think best not go to get that cup either. 🙂

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
