Black And White # 9 Desk Still Life

Black and white still of vase in sunlight by susan sheldon nolen

I was sitting at my desk, blinded by the sunlight streaming through the blinds, and just snapped my round glass paper weight and my vase. The sun was so strong that the lilac tree, still in winter mode, came through the blinds. The vase is an art deco beauty of a young woman worshipping the summer sun. Soon…winter will be gone! Well let’s hope so! Week #9 Black and white desk still life

About susan sheldon nolen

It’s rare to catch me without coffee, a form of camera, or my beloved wire fox terriers. I love the history, the art, and it’s a massive part of my life, as I either paint, write, or get interrupted by my dogs, reminding me of the real world. I hope you enjoy your time here. It’s such a privilege to have readers.

well you really captured an interesting shot here – and it took on different meaning after I read the text – both had a great mood – but after reading the text I felt a sense of awe for the change of season to be in the air (as the young woman was welcoming it too – 😉

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
